Brexit helps the sales market

Well, we’ve finally ‘Got it done’ and are now out of Europe. Whether you agree with it or not, there’s no doubt that right now the ending of uncertainty is having a positive effect on the housing market.

National news reports that mortgage applications are up and that the lenders are busier than they’ve been for ages. The big players in estate agency are also reporting a real upturn, with enquiries having taken off after Christmas and still at high levels.

That’s what’s happening in the country as a whole, but what about Worthing and surrounding areas like Lancing, Brighton, Horsham, Littlehampton and Chichester? The word from our local friends is that the market is on the rise and that prices could well increase by quite a few percent this year. Of course, in mid February it’s still pretty early in the year and the moving season, but all the signs are that Sussex will be on the move this year and that both buyers and sellers will be busy.

We are getting positive vibes in the market and taking on new property. If you’re thinking about selling, why not give us a call and get an early valuation so you can plan you move nicely in advance?

Landlords needed in the Worthing Area

It’s always interesting to see how the property market works. In terms of sales and lettings, there is often a slump in the sales market whilst lettings is busy, but a few months later the situation is reversed. For lettings, there is also the balance between landlords and tenants, or, to be more precise, the balance between the supply of property and the demand of tenants. Sometimes there is too much property standing empty, but then the balance can change and we’re desperately trying to find properties for the surplus of tenants.

Right now that’s how the letting market feels, so if you’re a landlord we are keen to meet you. We’re confident you’ll love our balance of great service and very fair prices, reflected by the growth and loyalty of our landlord portfolio.

So whether you’re new to letting or experienced in managing a number of properties, why not talk to us about top service whilst you keep a little bit more of the rent. Take a look at our Landlords page and you’ll like what you see. If you want more details, why not give us a ring or pop in and we’ll show you how we’re successful across the south coast.
