Well, we’ve finally ‘Got it done’ and are now out of Europe. Whether you agree with it or not, there’s no doubt that right now the ending of uncertainty is having a positive effect on the housing market.
National news reports that mortgage applications are up and that the lenders are busier than they’ve been for ages. The big players in estate agency are also reporting a real upturn, with enquiries having taken off after Christmas and still at high levels.
That’s what’s happening in the country as a whole, but what about Worthing and surrounding areas like Lancing, Brighton, Horsham, Littlehampton and Chichester? The word from our local friends is that the market is on the rise and that prices could well increase by quite a few percent this year. Of course, in mid February it’s still pretty early in the year and the moving season, but all the signs are that Sussex will be on the move this year and that both buyers and sellers will be busy.
